Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actor. Also, she sings. As a child Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by a lot of Americans. After entering a ninth-grade school audition in which she was praised for her singing and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. It not only boosted confidence in herself, but it also changed the direction she wanted to go in her career. She graduated at the age of 22 with a degree from Julliard School in New York. At the age of 23 she began her journey in Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, aged 23, her movie debut was You've got mail. Her greatest break came in the role of The Lady of The Lake, in the first Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great reviews for her role. Following that, in 2007, she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. As a professional singer and producer, she's produced songs as well as an extended piece. Also, she's an activist and fights for LGBT rights.
